I'm Anna (pronounced Ah-nuh), and I'm a data analyst, data visualization designer, and program manager with a ten year background in managing initiatives for nonprofits and mission-driven institutions.
I'm interested in creative data storytelling, especially in the digital humanities, and have sought out projects that apply data analysis tools to research topics in the arts, history, health, and policy. My recent work at Pratt has focused on GIS (mapping and spatial statistics), dashboard development, and interdisciplinary projects that showcase my technical/statistical abilities alongside creative design and writing skills.
I have experience with big data management and statistical tools primarily in Python and R, spatial data analysis and spatial statistics in ArcGIS, ArcPy, Mapbox and QGIS, database development and management in SQL, digital analytics evaluation in Google Analytics and Looker Studio, and data visualization and storytelling through a variety of design and dashboard tools including Tableau, ArcGIS Interactive Storymaps + Dashboards + Web Apps, Figma, Flourish, and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
As a program manager and policy specialist, I also built expertise in program evaluation, sensitive data management and analysis, survey management, and event management in Salesforce and Qualtrics, email marketing in Marketing Cloud, and performed qualitative research, contributed to grant writing, and delivered presentations for a range of stakeholders from boards of directors to volunteer activists.
I finished my Master's of Science in Data Analytics & Visualization with an Advanced Certificate in Spatial Analysis and Design (GIS) at Pratt Institute this fall 2024 and received an Excellence in Academic Achievement award for my work. I also have a Master's in Education in Technology, Innovation, & Education from Harvard University, completed in 2016. My undergraduate degree is a dual B.S. in Economics + Mathematics and B.A. in French from the University of Southern California, completed in 2011.
